ICT involvement is not only a matter of age but also a matter of educational attainment. For example, 72% of those aged 50-59 and who were 21 years or older when finishing their education (i.e. university degree and equivalent) are experienced frontrunners whereas none of those aged 80+ and leaving school when younger than 14 years belong to this group. At the same time, a better educated older old is more likely to belong to the “experienced frontrunners” as a lesser educated younger old.
