Older people feel unrecognised as a target group: 70 % say that in the media, ICT is only connected with younger people and 48% of the 50+ population blame manufacturers not to incorporate their needs in product characteristics. At the same time, more than half are keen on following technological developments, and one half each feel or do not feel too old to familiarise with computer technology. Obviously, the market potential which is undoubtedly there has not yet been adequately addressed by ICT manufacturers and service providers.
