The EU-wide 50+ Internet market is heading for 60% growth between 2001 and 2003. Particularly functional restrictions concerning vision and dexterity need attention by internet service providers. Whereas 16.5% of the overall 50+ population regularly use the Internet, only 11% of the visionally impaired and 4% of the dexterity impaired do so. The same gradient can be observed with regard to purchasing plans.
