In 2007 and 2008, empirica, Work Research Center and IPSOS carried out a follow-up study called "SeniorWatch 2007: Assessment of the Senior Market for ICT - Progress and Development". The study aimed at measuring changes in the ICT market for older people, which occurred since 2002 when the first SeniorWatch study was conducted.

The Seniorwatch project was terminated in 2002 after a 3 year duration. It was funded by the European Community under the "Information Society Technology" Programme (IST) in the context of the 5th Framework Programme.
The SeniorWatch study aimed at better understanding the market dynamics of Information Society Technology (IST) products and services relevant for older (and older disabled) people.
