Some projects and applications have only been developed to pilot project phase to date.
The following institutions and organisations would be involved in research in this field, e.g., Portugal Telecom, Technical University of Lisbon, Porto University, Aveiro University and INESC. Their involvement mainly has been at a European pilot project level.
The SNRIPD has the CITE programme that supports one year projects. The funding is below 25.000,00 Euro and projects for elderly people are not supported.
In Portugal there is no national funding for conducting important research/pilot projects.
