There are no regulations or legislation directed towards anti discrimination of older and disabled people in the field of telecommunications. But government has made agreements with for example the Royal KPN N.V. (international telecommunications company) with regard to the accessibility of phone booths. At the moment the Dutch government is developing an anti discrimination act for equal treatment of the disabled and chronically sick patients concerning labour, vocational training and sport, accessibility and mobility. The council of ministers has agreed with a anti-discrimination stipulation concerning people with limitations. The concept of this law is for advice at the council of state of the Netherlands.
The government stimulates the accessibility to ICT-products for every citizen of the Netherlands. At the moment a lot of ICT-products or services (like services from the government) are not accessible or not accessible for everyone. At this moment is in construction "Policy for All". This is collective policy of the Dutch ministries. A example of this policy is making public transport accessible instead of using technical aids for access public transport.
