Several local Help- and Care Centres for older people have been installed. Use of ICT there is not known. But older and disabled people do have access to the "Telecentres" that were installed in local communities recently. For older and disabled people a special web has been installed, called Luxsenior.lu in which one page is dedicated to "mobile phones also for senior people". Special courses have been established on how to use cellular phones, e.g. by Club Senior Prenzebierg which even has an own e-mail. A special cellular phone emergency number for all citizens has been established. Older people are publicly encouraged to use cellular phones and dial toll-free 112 in case of an emergency.
